Landing safely is only half the story of flying. Every pilot must also master recovery from stalls and spins. The Virus SW 80 Garud is forgiving in these maneuvers, but discipline and precision are essential. This chapter breaks down the procedures into clear steps for student pilots.




🛑 Stall Recovery

Stall Speeds

  • Clean: 43 kts
  • Flaps 15°: 38 kts
  • Flaps 25°: 34 kts
  • Height loss during recovery: ~200 ft
  • Minimum height to commence: 1500 ft AGL

Internal Checks

  • Ensure ≥1500 ft AGL available
  • Confirm aircraft configuration (Clean / Flaps 15° / Flaps 25°)
